Bioinclusive Collaborative and Participatory Design: A Conceptual Framework and a Research Agenda

Addressing the current unsustainability of socio-ecological-technological systems is urgently required. Unsustainability has been associated with anthropocentric cultures human societies that focus on their own needs while ignoring and belittling other species natural systems. Design, including collaborative participatory design (C&PD), one multiple ways through which humans build solutions to satisfy wants in an manner. Through integrative literature review C&PD a bioinclusive ethic (one non-anthropocentric frameworks environmental ethics), this paper – revised expanded version conference previously published Design Journal (2019) develops conceptual framework for rooted values base. It outlines twelve key principles proposes six avenues further research.
